Do Not Leave the Scene: Stay there until Forensys finishes the report. Without that report, insurance coverage can be void. Following these steps helps document the incident properly and protects your coverage.
What should I do if the rental car is damaged?
Do Not Move the Car: Leave the vehicle where the damage happened, whether it was a post, stone, windshield damage, parking damage, or road accident. Contact Forensys Curacao: Call 0800-1199 or 9233 immediately. They usually arrive quickly, take photos, and ask for your statement. Follow Instructions: Move the car only after Forensys staff or the police says it is safe. This procedure keeps the incident documented correctly and helps keep your insurance valid.
What should I do if the rental car is stolen?
Contact Us Immediately: Call +5999 673-3248 as soon as you realize the vehicle is missing. Report It to the Police: Call 911, or the police stations in Punda +599 9461-1000 or Otrobanda +599 9462-7844. Act Quickly: Delays can make you fully responsible for the theft if negligence is involved.
What is the minimum age to rent a vehicle?
Minimum age requirements are 19+ for vehicles and 25+ for vans. You must also have held a category B driving license for at least one year. There is a deductible of $500 for vehicles and $750 for vans. Drivers under 23 or with less than two years on a B license have a higher deductible of $600, and that amount cannot be waived.
What are your insurance coverage and deposit options?
All-Risk Coverage. You still keep a deductible of $500 for vehicles and $750 for vans. You can reduce that risk by paying $15 per day for vehicles and $25 per day for vans. For rentals under 4 days, a flat $85 buy-off option is available. Exceptions apply for speeding, DUI, or leaving an accident scene. Deposit Amount. The required deposit is $250 for vehicles and $375 for vans.
How many kilometers can I drive per day?
If you rent from edgeRent Lite, kilometers are unlimited.
Do you accept cash or credit cards?
Yes. We accept cash, Maestro, Kompa Leon, Visa/Mastercard, Discover/Diners, Amex, and other major credit cards. A 5% administration fee applies to credit card payments.
Can I pay in euros?
No, we do not accept euros. Cash payments can be made in Caribbean guilders or US dollars. You can also pay using our bank mobile pin machine.
What is your fuel policy?
Our fuel policy is full-to-full. Vehicles are delivered with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank. If the vehicle was not delivered full, you may return it with the same level received. Important: If the fuel level is too low at return, a minimum charge of $25 for vehicles and $35 for vans applies for every 1/4 tank or part of it.
Who is allowed to drive the rental car?
The primary renter and the additional driver who co-signs the agreement and has a valid driving license may drive the vehicle.
Where do I leave the vehicle if my flight departs before opening hours?
If your return flight leaves before opening hours, tell the rental agent when you pick up the vehicle. They will give you the return instructions.
Do you offer long-term rentals?
Yes. Contact us by email or WhatsApp to discuss long-term availability and pricing.
Do you deliver the car to a specific location?
Yes, we can deliver the rental car to your preferred location.
Can I receive the rental car at the airport?
Yes. Depending on your flight time, we can have the car ready near the airport and send detailed instructions before arrival.
How far in advance should I reserve my rental car?
You can reserve up to one year in advance. For last-minute bookings within 24 hours, contact us directly by WhatsApp or phone.
Why can’t I book a very short rental online?
Some rentals have a minimum number of days configured in the booking flow. If a booking is shorter than that minimum, the site may apply an extra short-rental surcharge or require staff assistance instead of letting the public request continue online.
Can I make a last-minute booking online?
That depends on the active booking rules. If your pickup is inside the configured last-minute window, the website may add an extra percentage or require the booking to be handled directly by staff.
Do you sometimes arrange rentals with partner vehicles?
Yes. In some cases a booking may be fulfilled with a partner-supplied vehicle instead of our own saved fleet. Those rentals are handled separately on the operational side so they do not mix into the normal public fleet inventory, while the customer still receives the normal booking communication.
